The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has published a cabinet paper recommending a referendum on the Windsor Link Railway. This will be discussed at a special meeting this evening of the Highways and Transport Overview and Scrutiny Panel.  It is also on the agenda for the cabinet meeting next week.

Cabinet paper

This is a welcome development. A referendum would not only will give all residents a say but also give a real boost to resident engagement in long-term planning and transport. This will help us all in choosing the Windsor we want to leave to future generations.

The public is encouraged to attend these meeting but if you wish to speak it’s a good idea to contact the council’s democratic services first.
