WLR speaking at IET event, High Wycombe

WLR is pleased to be speaking at the IET event in High Wycombe on Tuesday 13 May. This is being held at 7 for 7.30 pm at the New Bucks University. For directions click here. Attendance is free and you don't have to be a member of the IET but registration is requested. WLR will be talking about the project engineering of phase 1 in Windsor as well as the future link, such as re-opening the line from Maidenhead to High Wycombe.

Crossrail extended to Reading

The government today has announced that Crossrail will be extended to Reading. This will mean not only improved services but also some cost savings as less work will be required at Maidenhead. WLR is always very supportive of a more efficient railway and better services, so welcomes these improvements. What we need to see next is the Heathrow branch of Crossrail extended to Ascot and Bracknell, which would be facilitated by WLR phase 2.
