Is Slough’s tunnel to Heathrow off the rails?

In February 2013, the Thames Valley Local Economic Partnership announced, "Full steam ahead for the £500m western rail link to Heathrow." In October 2013, they trumpeted, "Final route for western rail access to Heathrow [WRAtH] to be announced by Christmas. Full steam ahead for the planned western rail access to Heathrow project with a major decision due by the end of the year [2013]." 20,000 visits to the WLR website in 2013

According to Wordpress's Jetpack, the WLR website received 20,000 visitors in 2013. As plans are developed, to have such a well-read website will form an important part of the statutory obligation to consult and it already adds confidence that the proposals are not only of significant public interest but also well-received. RBWM council receives petition signatures

The full council of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead received two petitions from WLR yesterday evening. The first was petitioning the council to do more to support the Windsor Link Railway. This received 1,020 signatures including 163 online. This will now be debated at the next full council meeting on 25 February 2014.
