The WLR website received 28,000 views in 2014, according to Jetpack. This is a 40% increase from the year before. Almost all of these were from the local region. Our busiest day of the year was June 10, with WLR being featured by the BBC. The high numbers visiting this site are an important part of WLR's eventual success, demonstrating a high level of involvement by local people. Local plan working group minutes published

The Borough Local Plan Working Group has been reviewing the draft of the next ‘preferred options’ consultation. The minutes of the meeting on 19 November, where WLR was discussed, have now been published. The Windsor Observer reports: The Royal Borough Local Plans Working Group met on Wednesday last week [19 November] to discuss items and policies to be included in the borough-wide Local Plan with the £250m Windsor Link Railway scheme up for discussion. HRH Prince Charles has launched in Islington an excellent report by his Foundation for Building Community on making development popular, Housing Communities: what people want. The Windsor Link Railway was featured as part of the vision for the Windsor of the future, put forward by the neighbourhood forum for the central business area, Windsor2030. The WLR consultation featured two parts: (1) for the transport element, giving better rail services and car parking; and (2)for the riverside restoration, improving the historical environment, views and the area around the arches. The Royal Borough Observer reports: Windsor Link Railway (WLR) has passed the pre-planning advice stage with the Royal Borough for the first phase of its plan to transform rail travel in the South East by combining Windsor’s two stations underground.
