In preparation for the Queen's jubilee people of Windsor and Eton, led by the Windsor and Eton Society, worked hard to give their town a 'facelift' improving the look of the town and restoring buildings to their former glory. Another local MP, The Right Hon. Michael Gove has joined his colleagues in supporting the Windsor Link Railway, saying... "Better rail services are important for the people of Surrey Heath. This is why I am encouraged to see proposals such as the Windsor Link Railway, which would make it easier to connect Farnborough, Camberley and Bagshot direct to Heathrow as well as to the Thames Valley." Over the last few months the Windsor Link Railway has been working with Network Rail to estimate demand for phase 1 of the Windsor Link Railway, connecting Slough to Staines via Windsor.
