WLR will be featured on the Andrew Peach show on Wednesday Thursday this week (30 July). Cllr Phill Bicknell, the Lead Member for Windsor at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, is talking about the council paper and the proposed referendum at 7 am. The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has just announced a cabinet paper for a Windsor strategic plan. This will include the Windsor Link Railway. Council approves ‘preferred options’ policies supporting WLR

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead's cabinet yesterday evening approved 'preferred options' policies for supporting the Windsor Link Railway. This is for the Borough Local Plan, which is due to go for a second consultation in June. Most of the benefits of WLR are to Windsor itself. The town will have an effective doubling of the frequency of trains to Waterloo and Paddington, knocking about 20 minutes off average journey times to London.
