Last week, WLR was interviewed by the Andrew Peach show, on BBC Radio Berkshire, as part of their feature on Windsor Riverside station, which has been listed in the top 100 stations in the country. It's a beautiful building with an interesting history, including Eton School opposing it being built at all and all the doors to allow royal lifeguards on horseback in. The Windsor Link Railway has been featured on the Andrew Peach show on BBC Berkshire this morning. Hear the clip, which also includes an interview with Richard Dexter, one of the country's leading tunnelling experts, answering some technical questions on how the tunnel would be built.
WLR has been featured in this week's Windsor Express. Cllr Colin Rayner was interviewed on BBC Berkshire this morning about the Windsor Link Railway. You can hear his comments below, right after a number of local residents support it. WLR understands the BBC couldn't find a resident to oppose the scheme. Cllr Rayner had many (highly sensible) reservations about the technical challenges and disruption and said that they had a 'change of heart' about doing a consultation until they understand it better.
